I am watching Rebel Without a Cause now. Sure I could be watching it the intended point of view: A rebellious young man with a troubled past comes to a new town, finding friends and enemies. But instead, I am watching it from the point of view of how many of these folks died tragically who starred in this epic flick. James Dean as many of you know died while driving safe on a lonely stretch of road in the heart of wine country. Sal Mineo wasn’t apparently allowed to park his car in peace before being stabbed to death. The beautiful and vivacious Natalie Wood has recently been upgraded from “accidental drowning” to well… I guess, one would have to ask her then husband Robert Wagner. “Troubled past” indeed this Rebel Without a Cause for all eternity…
